From March 7 to 10, 2018, a culmination of culture and theatrical arts shall take place in the heart of Hong Kong. Come one, come all: the programme is bound for fans of all ages! A total of 5 plays shall be presented, of which one is specially targeted for a younger audience so that they may also take part in the joy of theatre.
Like its previous editions, the Hong Kong French Theatre Festival continues to lend its support to Pour un Sourire d'Enfant (PSE, "For a Child's Smile"), a charitable organization. In 2017, this collaboration translated into a donation of USD 55,000.00 to the charity. This is all done thanks to the professional actors, organizers and other parties' contribution of their time and effort, all free of charge.

Garnering support from the Department of Leisure and Cultural Services of the government of Hong Kong, 3 plays (2 in the evening and 1 in the morning for students) shall take place in Sheung Wan Civic Center this year. This theatre, located on Hong Kong Island, is easily accessible by public transport. The strategic location is surely going to help the festival attract a bigger crowd than its previous years. The French International School of Hong Kong will likewise host 2 plays, 1 in the morning and the other in the evening.

This year, the festival is proud to present a star-studded jury, amongst whom you will find Andrew Yuen, president of Le French May; Candice Yu, renowned Hong Kong actress and Alma Brami, French writer based in Hong Kong.

To add to the 2018 edition, this year a special "meet the actors" evening will take place on Saturday 10th of March. The location is yet to be announced but the event will be open to the public and all festival goers are cordially invited to attend!
